There''''s a Better Alternative!
I used BlueVoda for a year. I kept having that nagging feeling everyone else who uses it has. (There''''s got to be something better than this.) Don''''t get me wrong...I liked BlueVoda for the most part. But not having complete control over my work never set well with me. (Not having the HTML codes). I Googled "WYSIWYG Website Builder" just to find out if there was any other website programs like BlueVoda I had missed. I found out, there is. It''''s so close to BlueVoda it''''s not funny...and they give you a User Guide, too. The new version 6.1 has just been released. I''''m trying the (FREE) 30-day version now. It''''s $40 bucks, but I can feel that itss already saving my sanity. Google it for yourself. (Use the words I used.)

My spider senses are tingling..
I'm a s/w engineer and recently downloaded the BlueVoda website builder, then spent a few hours kicking it around making some pages. Found it easy to use and liked the final results. The only frustrating thing was not being able to link the pages together. So I just renamed the preview.html file generated for each page and stuck them into the navigation button links then everything seemed to work, well, almost. Before signing up to BlueVoda I decided to check the reviews and was surprised by some of the comments, especially by their total lack of customer support. This alone was cause enough to have doubts about this company so BlueVoda, you will NOT be getting my business. (Hint: make customer support your #1 priority).

BLUE VODA works great for me
I tried hard for 2 yrs to teach myself Dreamweaver after FrontPage failed me one time too many. Most of our website is now created with Blue Voda which is free software if you host your site with them. I have never had any trouble with the hosting and the price is good. It is a totally WYSIWYG (WhatYouSeeIsWhatYouGet) application. I like the site forum where I can post a question to all the thousands of BV users in the world and get an answer or two often within the day. I found this to be much more effective than going through customer support.

Customer Service
WAIT!- Don't sign up with BLUE VODA--------Oh please, I hope you read this before signing up. These people are a joke!!! Even if they tell you you can get your money back if it doesn't work or you're not satisfied, do NOT beleive it. I have not been able to get blue voda to publish my site after I created at least 100 pages. They said it was my firewall. They gave me instructions of what to do, I did it, and it still didn't work. They gave me a number to call. After calling for a few days (daze) I finally spoke to a guy who was completely rude. They gave me the run around and said to even call my service provider. called them, they have no firewall. They sent me back to blue voda. After several weeks passed by I just emailed them the other day to ask them about cancelling the service, becasue I never used it and paid $200 for 3 years. It's been a year and still not luck. I've been more than patient. I get an email back saying their sofware works fine with Vista and that I can't have a refund back and "This is your problem"...I emailed them back to let them know they have the worst customer service. Sadly enough I beleive the bad press this provider is getting. They are a fraud and I am going to take it further. Once they get your money- screw you, you are on your own!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Blue Voda
Hmmm After reading all of the negatives here, I just would like to ad my opinion and my experience. I have ZERO experience building websites, knew nothing of URLs and hotlinks, and wanted to build a website for my home photo business. I looked around, and came across Blue Voda. I have to say that my experience with Blue Voda has been nothing but POSTIVE. Their tutorial videos are fabulous, short and efficient. They explain how to do things without alot of additional junk to wade through. I was able to download the software, and build my 5 page website, have ALL of the links work, and was up and running in no time. I am VERY HAPPY AND SATISFIED with their hosting service, billing process, and would highly recommend it to anyone! I had some difficulty setting up email, which was a glich with my ISP not Blue Voda, and my customer service tickets were always responded to promptly and with courtesy. I pay my invoices for hosting through PayPal and again am EXTREMELY HAPPY AND SATISFIED WITH BLUE VODA. My site is www.poolesimages.com. I have also been able to link my photo gallery through Shutterfly to my website, and it is WONDERFUL. I am now in the process of adding an additional page to my site. Thank you Blue Voda!

The Solution to BlueVoda
Well, i do agree that BlueVoda ties the user to one particular hosting and it is annoying. But the website builder it self is the very finest of available on the internet especially amongst the free ones. And There is a solution to your ONE hosting problem. Simply preview your page in a browser. Navigate to the path given in address bar. Copy your website files. Upload them on hosting of your choice. Keep using the excellent free web site building tool and stay away from their poor hosting services.

Bluevoda Great Service!
I am not an employee, owner, or whatever, of BlueVoda, so what I have to say is totally from the base of my knowledge as a subscriber of them. I downloaded and began using their site in December of 2007. I believe that my password, my contact with their support department, and except for really understanding how to technically move around in their system, has been a very user friendly experience. The only time that my password, or site for that matter, has not worked or been "down" was due to my forgetfulness to pay my bill on time. They give many, many, late notice emails, so it is not like they suspend your account without notice. In fact, when I found my site down this month because of that, I paid my bill through paypal, copied and pasted it into a email to them and they put my site back up within minutes, so I don't understand how other people have had a bad experience. Mine have all been positive, so far. In regards to setting the site up, it was rather intimidating to me, but I am lucky -- my husband has a bachelor's degree in computer science and was able to easily understand all of the technical jargon, I don't know. I would give this web hosting site a two thumbs up review. Also, it has been my experience through alot of different media that you have to be a little on the "do I believe these reviews or not " side. It's not that I am an untrusting individual, however, some of the previous commentors almost sound like they are working for competing webhost companies just slamming another rival. It is best to sit down with a pen and paper and compare all of them against the other. No domain host is totally 100% what you are want them to be. You can check out my site for a few days, see if I am up and running when you want to view it to see if they are down as often as I have read in the comments below. I haven't experienced that at all. My site is: www.lauraslocket.com Good luck to you. tinamarie

Unable to reach them directly
I hate the fact that your unable to get anyone to speak to...and if you try to send an email most of the time it sends you to a forum...the presentation is tempting, but the fact that your able to get straight answers worries me

taken
This software from Bluevoda says nothing about needing to purchase their hosting. I just spent 6 hours building a web page. I am very disappointed.

blue voda suks
I won't go into details; it was two years ago. Their attitude is very condescending and mean spirited. Customer service? Was a joke for me. I quit within a week, losing money was worth it to get away from these jerks.
