Winshutdown is a simple program that will allow you to use Function Keys as shortcuts to either shutdown, restart, reboot or logoff windows. System time and delay time functions are also available.
Winshutdown 2.0 is the next major update for the original Winshutdown release. Winshutdown will allow a user to specify four different shortcuts within windows using only the function keys. These shortcuts will either Shutdown, Reboot, Restart or Logoff windows once they are pressed by the user. Confirmation messages can be turned on if needed and the ability to run these commands at specific times, or after a delay time has reached 0 is also available. The program fully supports both the WIN9X platform and the WINNT platform. The program auto-detects which version of Windows is running so that the correct shutdown commands are called. Also, it disables and enables settings within the program that are only available for certain versions of Windows.
Winshutdown has been completely re-written from scratch to offer a much improved inter-face and more options. Plus, because of the new coding platform technology, we can easily add new features to the base of the software when they are needed. You can disable Ctrl-Alt-Delete under a WIN9X platform, make the program always on top and also hide it in the task manager.
The engine within the software which is used to check Windows for the shortcut keys can be easily stopped and started whenever the user feels it necessary. This can also be done from the new system tray menu, which has also been re-designed to offer a much nicer appearance. Full window arranging support is available in the main window and the ability to minimize all of the windows that may be open is also available.
