good program but it does not perform as desired on my system
I like the program and its many useful functions. I am a single computer home user who builds, upgrades and modifies personal computers for family and friends. If I tune it to standby in 15 minutes then hibernate in 30, it does nothing. If I tune it to standby or hibernate in a time period, it does that action in that time period. When I resume operation from standby or hibernate, the warning window advises me it will execute whatever action it previously did, standby or hibernate, will occur in the countdown seconds displayed. I have the yes ot no option of allowing this to happen. This means I must be at the computer on resume. When my XP Home power option was working, I could set it to go into standby after a period of idleness and then later go into hibernate. That function went away when SP3 was installed, even though the power option settings remained. Pro: It is a good program with some glitches, at least on my machine, and it is free. I can make it work for me. Con: It does not do exactly what I had hoped, the way I had hoped. And the resume to return to that last action is a real drawback. Help from the settings screen tells me it cannot find the help section and advises me to reinstall the program I have removed and reinstalled it several times to no avail. I probably would not advise the casual computer user to use this program.
