HammerLanuch 4 provides a way for everyone in your organization to see the results of your Crystal Reports even if they do not have a licensed copy of Crystal on their computer. Similar to the “complied report” feature available in early versions of Crystal, HammerLaunch allows users to browse the local area network to find the report they would like and then they can view the reports on their local computer. If the report was created with parameters, HammerLaunch 4.0 will prompt them for the parameter values.
HammerLaunch 4 is NOT a web-based application. It is installed on each user’s computer. It occupied about 300 megabytes.
HammerLaunch 4 includes the ability to add command line instructions that will automatically run a report or a group of reports. You can use this feature to create desktop shortcuts that will automatically run reports when the user double-clicks on an icon.
