Review of EZ Macros - Pros and Cons
I found the earlier version of EZ Macros to be GREAT!! A wonderful tool for repetitive tasks!
A few months ago I bought the upgrade, EZ Macros 5.1, thinking it would run with Windows 7 on my new Win32 PC. It doesn't! The installation software displayed an error message that reads: "em51.exe is not a valid Win32 application". On October 1, 2009, I attempted to call American Systems by phone (817 485-6547) and was informed by the phone company that it is not a working number. So, I wrote them at www.support/americansys.com explaining my problem and asking for help. No response. I wrote them again regarding this matter on November 6, 2009 and January 10, 2010. Now it's February 9, 2010, and still no response!
I can recommend earlier versions of EZ Macros because I've used them on Windows XP for several years and found them to be an indispensible tool for many tasks. In desperation, I’ve searched and tested macro software by other publishers and, thus far, none compare to EZ Macros. I really miss not being able to use it!! But I can't recommend version 5.1 because it doesn't install on my Win32 PCs running either Windows Vista or Windows 7.
Nor can I recommend American Systems' technical support department as they haven't responded to my numerous requests. If anyone has a solution let me know at ak.kirkland@verizon.net.
