In the past my daughter received abusive instant messages and there was nothing we could do to prove it (or stop it). I looked for something to record both sides of the IM chat and rejected a bunch of 'keyloggers' which only recorded our (my daughter's) side of a conversation. Then I came across Sentry Lite. It didn't have all the functionality I was planning to implement but it did record both sides of the IM conversations (showing the address of the person communicating with my daughter) and all the web-sites she browsed. Best of all, it was free. I collect a daily log of all her (and her sister's) conversations, and my wife and I feel more relaxed and in control and able to act if anything bad starts happenning. I'm seriously considering the full Family version, if only to add time restraints on their on-line activities, despite the numerous additional functions.
