Good program. Not sure if this company capture my http traffic.
The program runs well. However, I am not sure if my http traffics gets captured (via VPN) by this company for their marketing purpose.

Free and easy to set up
I installed HotSpot Shield on my Vista laptop. After restarting the computer, the HotSpot Shield was easily started via a shortcut on my desktop. Using Firefox seems to work well in conjunction with AdBlock, so there are no advertising frames at the top of my browser window.
I travel to some countries where there is censoring, so I will be curious to see if I can access all my webmail sites from those countries when HotSpot Shield is active.
Speedtest.net showed a slight decrease in my download speed, but barely noticeable. My IP address was successfully hidden from the server during the test.
My initial opinion is that this will be a good program for use on the road. Seems to have no spyware or malware that I am aware of. I searched the web for other comments on spyware, but none came up. There are two options for toolbars and search engines when you install the program, but I unchecked both of those.
