For the color clueless
If you're clueless about color, this program may do you some limited good. If you're a designer, look elsewhere. Genopal has a recipe: every palette should contain 80% analogous colors, lightness values should ideally match. High saturation is verboten; it may be used "only sparingly". If you subscribe to this narrowly circumscribed view of color, maybe Genopal's for you. The new "professional" version is essentially identical to the older, lower-priced version. Features which used to be standard -- like the ability to float color samples over a design -- have simply been stripped out of the standard version and put in the professional version, i.e., you now have to "pay extra" for the same level of features. If you really do design, Adobe's kuler is a far better choice for you.
