As of 5/19/08 AVG antivirus flags bytecode php files as js trojan downloader virus. AVG will not allow Byterun Protector for PHP to export any files. I've contacted the software developers, they haven't responded. No number to call. So if you have a licensed version, you're pretty much stuck at this point. It would be nice if they responded or AVG as to what is considered the downloader virus. You can always disable AVG and run the application. You cannot open the files or ftp with AVG running, it vaults all actions. It would be nice to know if ByteRun is selling software without a virus encrypted into the bytecode.. They aren't too eager to respond..
